long time

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted anything.

So, I did get a part-time gig to get me out of the house and talking to people instead of just sitting around waiting for the kids to get home.  I'm working at a bank, it's been fun because now I feel like I have a social circle.  It's just a couple days a week for a few hours while the kids are at school.  I'm glad to be there.

Ralphie is about to turn six!  I can't believe it, he's a no kidding, full blown kid.  He's still cuddly though, when he's tired or something scary is on he still crawls up on to my lap.  I'll seriously miss that when it's over.  He's having his dream party at Chuck E. Cheese's.  I don't believe we'll be able to top that anytime soon.

Schmitty's going to a dance Friday night, how I wish I could be a fly on the wall.  It seems like he's only here to do homework and sleep.  I miss him.  He dismisses me when I tell him that.  Every time I try to make plans with him a friend calls to invite him somewhere.  I, of course, get ditched.  That's adolescence, I suppose.

I am happy that he's made so many friends so quickly.  I'm astounded, really.  I remember hating the beginning of the school year when I would inevitably find out that none of my friends were in my classes.  I kept the friends that I made in elementary school, and it was a small group because I was shy.  Unfortunately, once we got to junior and high school they didn't take any of the same classes that I did.  I never adjusted by making friends that were in the Regents program.  I wish I had but I was shy and never felt like I fit in.  Schmitty, on the other hand, changes schools frequently and always finds a niche.  It's impressive to me.  I only hope Ralphie is able to adjust as well.
