I always seem to have more on my to-do list than I can manage this time of year. This year is no exception. How does the time fly?
I'm in the process of finishing my penultimate course toward my MA. Thank goodness! It was about the Balkans crisis. I love taking these courses because they're taught by REAL professors. It's great but it's so much information to be packed in to such a short time and I didn't even do a majority of the reading this time because I just felt too overwhelmed. One more...
While I take my classes I stay with some friends in DC for the week. It's always interesting to watch how other parents parent. I have to say I'm friends with a lot of mommas that I admire. I'm also impressed with how much time my friends spent preparing meals for their children. It's an amazing gift of time that they give.
I finally got home Monday night, it was so nice to come home. I spoke to the boys for a while until Jason got home. Once we exchanged greetings I asked if he minded if I took a shower while he made dinner. He did not, he even brought me a cocktail while I was finishing up. In the morning he brought me a hot cup of coffee in bed. Did I mention how much I miss home when I'm away?
We also just got a new car, new to us anyway. It's a used Infiniti JX35 that I love! Unfortunately there are a couple of trouble spots I see on the horizon. I don't like how the headlights function. They should be automatic, I shouldn't have to remember to turn them on and off. I haven't had to deal with turning headlights in since 2002. I also insisted on the light leather interior that I fear is being ruined by my dark wash jeans. Boo. But? I still love it.
Well, I need to go to bed so that I can't start marking things off my list for tomorrow!
